The idea behind this display was to include many of the native fish found in the Tippecanoe River. You can look into the display from both sides as well as up through the top, which resembles the surface of the water.
Most of the fish are fiberglass reproductions which are fun to do. They require just as much work as a skin mount and must be painted. Some of the fins are molded separately and must be attached. You can see a river eel in one of the photos that is coated with white primer waiting to be airbrushed with color.
I used weed trimmer wire to create the whiskers on the catfish.
